FAQ

The day starts with breakfast up until 10 am and continues with the day slot for gaming. We head for dinner provided by the location some time between 6 and 7 pm followed by the evening slot for gaming. The game room stays upen until the last gamers head off to bed, which is usually well beyond midnight.

We believe in the power of self-organisation for our events. Each gaming slot begins with a short meet up where all those currently not already in ongoing or prescheduled games gather. We then figure out what games to bring out to make sure that everyone has something to play that they enjoy.

If you would like to take a break and skip a slot to do something else in the city you will likely find some people who are more than happy to tag along.

Based on our smaller events our community has a healthy supply of players of large strategy games like Eclipse: 2nd Dawn of the Galaxy, Twilight Imperium 4th Edition or Kemet .
We also have a sizable group of regulars who enjoy more Euro style games like Terraforming Mars and Wingspan.
This is rounded out by common rounds of more social and lighter games like Subtext and Just one as well as various cooperative and semi-cooperative titles.
Apart from these staple games that usually see multiple rounds per week there is always a nice mix of new releases and old classics.

If there’s something you’ve been dying to get to the table, you are likely to find kindred spirits to join who might even be already familiar with the game.

The community driven „game library“ will consist of whatever gamers bring to the Con. We realise that everyone has different comfort zones for how readily they share their games with others and who they trust to handle the games well.
The game room will feature an area as the game library where you can store and present your games. Your stack area will be labelled with your name and we expect gamers to only handle and borrow games after checking in with the owner first.
The game room will be locked when we need to leave it unattended, for example at night.

No. The venues have a few hundred beds and our event will not be large enough for an exclusive rent option.
However, we will have the game room and attached outside spaces all to ourselves and that area will only be accessible to event participants.

In our experience a con is more relaxing and enjoyable for everyone if all or most gamers are staying at the hostel. So we highly recommend coming to stay at the hostel even if you are living in Berlin.

That said, we are offering Day Passes for our Berlin based events and you can book them through the ticket shop.
