happens this Halloween from

A few dozen Boardgame Fans from all regions
gather for a week filled with
board games, relaxation, fun and great people
BIG-Con offers you the Place, the People and the Time to commit a long weekend for your most favorite hobby.

The Place
This time we head out to beautiful lake Wannsee south west of Berlin. A few minutes walking from S Bahn Station Nikolassee we visit the Youth Hostel Berlin – Am Wannsee.
Situated right by the lake and neighbouring a large woods area inviting you for a hiking break from gaming the house offers the perfect frame for some autumn game rounds.
In the lobby you find a number of comfy seating areas for chats and smaller game rounds.
The hostel offers us simple accomodations in multi bed rooms with up to 4 people …
… with two rooms sharing a shower and toilets on the hallways. For those of you who would like to share the room with just one person, you can book a double room upgrade.
And just in case the full board accomodation with breakfast, lunch and dinner leaves some appetite unsatisfied, you can always find snacks, drinks and coffee for fair prices.
The Game Room
We will be playing in the choir practice hall „Potsdam“ on 130 sqm which comfortably fits 6-8 game tables for up to 40 people.
As usual we will be bringing Game-Toppers Game Mats in various sizes …
… and it wouldn’t be a BIG-Con without our 120×180 cm Mycroft Game Table.
Our opening day falls on Friday, 31st of October and hence Halloween.
We have for our first game distribution meetup after Dinner at 18:30 and Halloween themed games are obviously high on everyone’s wish list for this special night.
The rest of the week the game room opens daily after breakfast from 9:30 and will remain open until the last game rounds are done, which is usually well past midnight.
The People
BIG-Con depends on the amazing people that we can excite for our game rounds. With participants from all origins we offer a multilanguage event where those relying on English as a common language are just as comfortable as German speakers.
